Minecraft Update Will Soon Be Available for Nintendo Switch
Minecraft is a video game that has been created and designed by Markus Persson (also known as Notch), and later fully developed and published by Mojang. In this game, you will need to be creative and build constructions from textured cubes in a 3D generated world. There are many activities in this game such as resource gathering, exploration, crafting and even combat.
To make things even better, the game comes with a multiplayer mode that allows you to play with your friends. There is also a survival mode, where you need to get resources to build the world and also maintain your health. The creative mode allows you to have unlimited resources to just build anything that you want and even fly around the map to not waste time.
When Mojang was purchased by Microsoft back in 2014 for $2.5 billion, many fans of Minecraft were concerned that the new owner will stop releasing new Minecraft versions for the rival operating systems/consoles. However, Microsoft has reacted fast and confirmed that the game will still be released for all current platforms.
At the end of this year, Minecraft will celebrate 6 years since it was released for Windows PC, OS X, Linux, Android and iOS. We remind you that since then, the game was also released for: Xbox 360, Raspberry Pi, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Windows Phone, Windows 10, Wii U and Apple TV.
Well, we also have some good news for all Nintendo Switch owners, as it has been confirmed that Minecraft will also be released for this console. However, you will still have to wait a little bit for it, as it will hit your console on May 11, 2017. The Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition will also come with the Super Mario Mash-up pack.
Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition has been confirmed by Nintendo during its live stream, where it has also announced detailes regarding the Splatoon 2, Arms and other titles that will be released for 3DS and Switch consoles.
