PlayStation 4 Will Soon Get A New Controller With Motion Sensor

Dragon Quest XI is a new game that will be released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS in Japan. The release date of this title has been announced recently (it will be released on July 29, 2017) and since the hype is so high for it, Hori has decided to reveal its DualShock 4 “Dragon Quest Slime Controller.”

The wireless “Dragon Quest Slime Controller” by Hori is actually a controller in the shape of “slime.” The controller’s dimensions are 145x145x124mm and it comes with all  buttons and features that the normal “DualShock 4” controller has (stereo headset jack, built-on mono speaker and motion sensor).

However, this is not the first time when Hori is releasing a controller like this, as when the Dragon Quest VIII was launched for the PlayStation 2, the company has also brought a controller that was available in the standard blue, as well as a metal color variant. In other words, there are high chances that the “Dragon Quest Slime Controller” will be available in two color variants once it will hit the stores.

The “Dragon Quest Slime Controller” will be released on July 29, 2017, exactly when the “Dragon Quest XI” game will be released. The controller will be sold for 9980 yen (around $91). We have to mention that Hori has confirmed that this controller will be available in Japan, without adding if it will also release it for the rest of the world.

However, for the ones looking to import one a “Dragon Quest Slime Controller” from Japan, they will probably have to pay about $100-$110 (taxes included). Even if the controller has a strange shape, we think that it will be a great addition to your PS4 console.

What are your thoughts about the “Dragon Quest Slime Controller?” Will you purchase it for your PS4?
