Ron Paul Supporters Funding New Hampshire Recount?

By Justin Gardner | Related entries in New Hampshire, Ron Paul

I know some of you commented in “>my post the other day that you were following the campaign’s line that a recount wasn’t necessary.

Well, over at one of the biggest pro-Paul blogs, Daily Paul, they don’t hold the same opinion…

According to the official letter that Albert Howard signed, the cost is $55,600 for the recount of approximately 240,000 ballots.

The Secretary of State must receive the money in the form of a certified check by 3 PM tomorrow January the 15th.

Go to http://grannywarrior.chip… to donate. We need a major effort of all to raise this money by the deadline.

Spread the word, blog about it, send e-mails , get on the phone, do everything you can to make this happen.

When we have come this far, don’t leave us hanging…

I trust you do your best.

So far they’ve raised about $19K. Impressive numbers, but is ANY of it going to the recount effort? Because according to this story, the recount is on.

What the hell is going on?

The initial $2000 to schedule the start of the recount and set a date was handed in already. With that they come up with an estimate of how much it will cost for the whole recount. It came to about $55,600 and they have raised about 52,000 so far. The chipin that is currently up is the remainder of what is needed today , the deadline of when the money is due.

Granny Warriors for Ron Paul has collected over $4) for the recount. It would have been nioce for those who don’t trust the recount no matter who’s, Howards’, Kucinich, anyone who cares, should chip in. Seems all the Kucinich supporters think it’s OK for Ron Paul supporters to do it alone?

  3. Kathy from PA Says:

In all fairness, Kucinich supporters are also collecting. Please don’t undermine the efoorts of Paul’s supporters by posting negative information regarding others. It makes us seem petty and whiny and more like the conspiracy theorists that the media is portraying us as.

I already donated $50 to the Kucinich campaign.

  5. Kevin Houston Says:

I don’t really care what the campaign says, I would like to see a hand recount anyway, just to have a base-line about machine counts versus hand counts. I don’t really expect it to change much, it’s too far a reach for 3rd place. But maybe, just maybe, it will reverse the standings of Giuliani, and Ron Paul.

Ron Paul doesn’t have to participate if he doesn’t want to; I totally understand him not wanting to look like a “Sore Loser[, ]man” the campaign was never do-or-die on NH, so it’s a distraction at best.

Anyway, the money will be raised, the candidates with standing have stepped up, the date has been selected, let the recount procceed!

If the only outcome is that Ron Paul beats Rudy Giuliani by 1 vote after the recount, then I say it’s money darn well spent. :)

    Later.
