McCain Raises $27M In July

And that’s a new record for him, eclipsing his previous best by more than $6M.
Obama’s camp hasn’t released July numbers, but in June it grabbed $52 million. So Obama bested McCain’s total from June and July by about $4M just with his haul in June alone.
However, let’s remember that the RNC is flush with cash, so Obama was looking at tough climb to reach parity with the Republicans…as noted in my previous post about his June haul…
Obama’s money + DNC’s money = $72 millionMcCain’s money + RNC’s money = $95 million
I’ll have more when Obama announces his numbers. I know he just reached 2 million donors, which was a significant mark. So I’m guessing we can expect another haul around the 50M mark. If that’s the case, he may have caught up with the Republicans.
