New Orleans Survives Gustav
By Alan Stewart Carl | Related entries in Louisiana, NewsWell, Hurricane Gustav has left the Louisiana coast with a lot of clean-up and, sadly, eight reported deaths. But the good news is: New Orleans survived with only some power loss and sewer problems. Residents should be able to return within the next few days.
We can all now breathe a sigh of relief.

It is good news in the sense that it could have been much, much worse. Very glad that we didn’t have another horrible incident like Katrina and the big easy can sleep a bit more soundly. Still, a lot of people were affected, and it’s going to take awhile to recover from this one too. Let’s hope for the best!
