New Obama Ad Hits McCain On Economy, Palin
By Doug Mataconis | Related entries in 2008 Election, McCain, PalinA new ad from the Obama campaign simultaneously hits John McCain on the economy and his choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate:
The Obama-Biden campaign has directly singled out Senator John McCain’s choice of a running mate — using footage of Gov. Sarah Palin as she winks — in a new commercial that questions the Republican ticket’s preparedness on economic issues.
(…)
The quotes used in the ad predate the global economic crisis that has unfolded in recent weeks, an event that has persuaded many voters, according to polls, that Mr. Obama would be better able to handle the economy than his opponent would be.
Mr. Obama’s new commercial ends by quoting Mr. McCain saying †‘I might have to rely on a vice president that I select’ for expertise on economic issues,†before shifting to a question, “His Choice?†accompanied by pictures of Ms. Palin winking during the vice-presidential debate.
A pretty effective ad, I think, because it hits on the primary weakness that the Palin pick exposes, McCain’s judgment.

Why won’t Sarah Palin release her medical records. Is she trying to hide something. What is the big deal about this.

Great ad. This just solidifies the reason why so many people, including the biggest newspaper in Alaska, and Colon Powell have chosen Obama. Palin is just a heart beat away, and that is scary.
