Minecraft Pocket Edition Update Gets New Magic Skin Pack
The best thing about Minecraft: Pocket Edition is possibly its developers’ devotion to adding new skins constantly in order to keep players satisfied with the game. And now, if you’re a fan of Magic: The Gathering and also Minecraft, then boy are you in for a treat! A brand new skin pack just arrived to Minecraft PE this week, and it’s themed after the beloved CCG. The skin is so good that even players that aren’t necessarily into Magic: The Gathering might like it.
Minecraft: Pocket Edition retails for $6.99 and is currently in the process of having the Minecraft Marketplace introduced. However, in the meantime, the game’s developers seem to treat their players to the occasional amazing skin pack. The brand new addition to Minecraft PE’s roster of skins comes with various iconic options inspired by the game, such as the archangel Avacyn, Ajani Goldmane and, of course, necromancy queen Liliana Vess, a clear fan favorite.
Sarah Kisor, one of the artists behind this particular skin pack, gave a statement regarding the process earlier this week. According to Kisor, while the skin pack was definitely fun to create, it was also quite a challenging process. The main issue at hand was how to translate such complexly designed characters as those in Magic: The Gathering into the simplicity of Minecraft’s concept and graphics.
However, we’d have to say that the skin turned out pretty good. The characters are clearly recognizable and we can see all their iconic traits within the skin pack. This is yet another spectacularly well done job on the part of Minecraft PE’s team of artists working on such skins. How about you? Did you try out the pack? What did you think of it?
